Designed by Michele De Lucchi, the Plissé kettle already declares in its name the nature of its peculiar design: an object in which functional aspects are translated into a series of formal details with fascinating lines, elegant and light like a haute couture dress. Consisting of a body with lid and handle, resting on a retractable power base. The beak is completed with an internal filter. Elegant: A kettle like a haute couture suit, a splendid object to be left in sight that borrows the visual codes of haute couture. Functional: Also ideal in the studio or office, to prepare a tea or an infusion dedicating a special moment. SUSTAINABILITY AND SAFETY: A device cuts off the power supply if the kettle is turned on with an insufficient quantity or in the absence of water, avoiding possible damage. The bottom of the kettle is thermally insulated: therefore, after the water has reached the boiling point, it can be safely placed on any surface. Inside the pouring spout there is a filter that retains any limescale particles formed inside the kettle. The handle allows a firm and safe grip. The beak is completed with an internal filter. USE AND MAINTENANCE: [Easy to use] Open the lid of the kettle by slightly moving the knob that acts as an opening button backwards. The operation is facilitated by the shape of the knob which has a slight recess that facilitates the pressure exerted by the finger to open the lid. Place the kettle under the tap and fill the kettle with the amount of water you intend to use. Do not exceed the maximum level indicated by the MAX symbol placed inside the kettle. Close the kettle by completely lowering the lid until it clicks. Press the ON / OFF lever switch. The ON / OFF lever switch lights up: the water heating cycle begins. The kettle turns off automatically a few seconds after the water has reached boiling point. To turn off the kettle before boiling, lift the kettle from the power base. The kettle is easily and quickly released from the power base. [Easy to clean] Rinse the inside under running water and dry. For the exterior and for the power base, use a damp cloth and a non-aggressive detergent. Do not place the kettle under running water and do not immerse in water. Do not wash the kettle in the dishwasher. [Easy to maintain over time] To extend the life of the kettle, regularly remove limescale by cleaning the kettle with a mixture of water and vinegar. The filter can be removed, washed under running water or in the dishwasher and then returned to its seat. In the event of wear, loss or damage, the limescale filter and power supply base can be purchased from your Alessi dealer.
