Lodge is a family business with a long tradition, now in its fifth generation. Our factory was founded in 1896 in South Pittsburg, Tennessee, where it is still located today. While we continue to use proven techniques, we continually strive to modernize our manufacturing processes and make them more environmentally friendly. This includes new environmentally friendly casting techniques, recycled packaging materials and biodegradable packaging. We are actively committed to the reuse of materials. THE OLDEST CAST IRON MANUFACTURER IN THE USA Lodge Cast Iron is the oldest and most experienced manufacturer of cast iron products in the United States. Our wide range of products are manufactured through a proven process known as "Sand Molding". This involves pouring a mixture of molten pig iron, steel and other components into a sand mold. Because sand melts at higher temperatures than iron, the casting retains its shape. Once cooled, the sand pattern is removed and the high-quality cast iron cookware remains. Even though this technique is very ancient, our foundries are at the cutting edge of technology. The result is cast iron products that convince with their functionality and aesthetics and which, with proper care, can also bring joy to future generations of chefs. Our cast iron products are extremely versatile and durable and are perfect for use in indoor and outdoor kitchens. You can use them on all modern cooking plates, as well as on open fires or grills.
