Perlage Saber / The sommelier's saber Designed by FOX Knives The Perlage Sommelier's Saber features a 39 cm long T5MOV stainless steel blade (total saber length 56 cm, thickness 5 mm, weight 740 gr.) - Guard and pommel surface finish silver effect. Elegant and precious wooden box included! Sabrage is a particular technique for opening champagne bottles with a sabre, usually used as a ceremonial. The saber is slid along the body of the bottle towards the neck with a sharp blow. The force hitting the lip of the neck is enough to break the glass and cleanly separate the neck from the collar of the bottle which, together with the cork, is shot away by the force of the gas contained in the wine.
