Founded in 1605, Giuseppe Giusti is the oldest vinegar factory in the world. 17 generations of master vinegar makers have guided it up to the present day, making it a point of reference for every Balsamic Vinegar enthusiast Modena. The ancient family vinegar factory is located in a unique and fascinating place: the attic of the beautiful stately building in which the shop is located overlooking the street. During Over the centuries the Giusti family has traveled around Europe making the Black Gold of Modena known outside Italy, presented at the most important universal exhibitions of the late nineteenth century, becoming one of the most sought after Italian delicacies by the rich and nobles of the old continent. The shop's business continued to prosper even in the difficult years of the twentieth century, continuing to produce quality Balsamic Vinegar, increasingly specializing its production thanks to the successes achieved. In the 1980s, new and highly selected quality barrels were purchased to expand production and further improve the quality of the Balsamic Vinegar. Having become in all respects a truly modern company, the family vinegar factory was expanded and moved out of the historic center, to an ancient farmhouse in the countryside of Modena, and the historic 600 family barrels conducted in the attics of this magnificent farmhouse.
