The Fattoria was born in Parma from a family who has always believed in the extraordinary potential of their land and who has 150 years of experience in quality cured meats. Guido Pongolini and his wife Anna Maria, convinced that to grow and improve one must always be open to change, in 1968 they created a new production project: La Fattoria di Parma. An adventure that begins in the historic family sausage factory in Fontanellato in the heart of the Parma lowlands. The parents are joined by their children, Paolo and Cristina, and the company accelerates its pace on the path of Extreme Quality: a project that focuses on attention to detail, giving rise to entrepreneurial choices that pursue increasingly advanced objectives. The Pongolini family is used to welcoming its guests with guided tours, personalized tastings and food and wine meetings. All in a highly evocative and relaxing setting. From the first maturing cellar a particular atmosphere makes the visit unusual. Under the trusses, next to the wooden stairs, the steel of the most advanced technologies shines, while looking up a photographic exhibition illustrates the men and women of the lower Parma area, faces and hands at work in the ancient art of butchery. soft lights, muffled silence, an atmosphere full of perfumes and here we are in the maturing of the "King of the Mists". The maturing of Salame Felino, of Parmigiano Reggiano, embellished with colors and decorations, to reach the last to the visit of a very modern production laboratory. Along this path the visitor, guided with passion, is introduced to the secrets of the art of cured meats.
