Description
The Caciocavallo from the Colantuono dairy is the absolute highest symbol of the Molise dairy tradition. Produced with cow's milk and with the addition of only rennet, lactic ferments and salt, it is presented in its classic strangled shape and with an unmistakable pungent taste. The cows destined for the production of this cheese are bred in the wild, grazing in places rich in shrubs and undergrowth essences.
The Colantuono dairy located in Frosolone in Molise has its roots in a family of passionate farmers since 1900. The love for the territory, for the livestock and for the fresh milk of the day has been the main reason for success for the creation of a genuine product and one of the highest quality standards in the sector.
Available in different types of maturation ranging from the sweetest to the spiciest and most persistent flavour.
