Since 1958, the passion for vines and wine has delighted the palates at the ancient trattoria "Da Ninòla", in the heart of Castelvetro Piacentino. This is how it began. The grandfather's passion was transformed into a real business, handed down from generation to generation. We remember in particular Giovanni Mainetti, the true founder of the company, more than anyone else he believed in, invented, built and prospered this company. Initially "the old way", then adding new grape cultivation techniques, new production and bottling procedures, the distribution of the product, followed with professionalism and wisdom, exactly as a father would do with his children, managing to achieve the objective: tradition and innovation. Since 1999, the brothers Gloria and Roberto Mainetti have been in charge of the company, and excellent wines are still produced today, the classics of the Piacenza hills, Gutturnio, Bonarda, Barbera, Malvasia, Ortrugo, Monterosso . From the beginning of the century to today, many things have certainly changed in the wine sector, from grape cultivation techniques to production and bottling procedures, from the distribution of the product itself to consumer tastes; the Mainetti company has tried to adapt to all these changes while maintaining the concept of "quality wines" which determined the production choices and commercial policy. Even today, the best exposed vineyards with low yields per hectare are chosen from the best wine-growing areas. The transformation procedures are followed with professionalism and wisdom exactly as a father would do with his children. All this allows us to be proud of what we have done so far and encourages us to move forward by giving a guarantee of quality that will remain unchanged over time, because after all tradition is also passion, and Piacenza, land of wines from very ancient times, has taught us to cultivate the vine as already in these areas, the Latins, the Gauls, the Celts and even first the Greeks.
