Description
Saffron is the stigma of an intense violet-colored flower, native to Asia Minor. A highly prized spice, it maintains its aromatic characteristics and intensity best if the stigma is preserved in its entirety, rather than reduced to powder. To best enjoy its properties, it is necessary to dissolve the pistils in a little warm water, to be used to season a classic risotto or the most varied recipes, such as first and second courses, but also cakes and desserts.
